#IMPACTLANCASTER Leadership Challenge
February 2015

Hello. And welcome to At the Center.

Throughout 2015, we’ve updated you through a variety of ways, including these video messages, on our Envisioned Future strategic planning process. Then, in January, we took our Annual Business Meeting on the road to share our findings and unveil that new Envisioned Future for The Chamber.

During those Meetings with more than 850 attendees, we shared how we intend to create the environment and facilitate partnerships that impact business success and our County’s prosperity. We also went over our plans to create access to accelerated ideas, opportunities and solutions; work to enhance our overall business climate; and embody all of this change in a new building, where we will co-locate with key partners. To watch a recording of one of the Meetings, click on the YouTube channel found at the bottom of our homepage at

So as we continue on this journey toward achieving our Envisioned Future, we’d like to get started right now.

And, as such, I’d like to invite you to join the movement to make Lancaster County even better by taking the #IMPACTLANCASTER Leadership Challenge. It’s easy.

You can get started by simply gathering a team and identifying a broad business or community challenge of your choice. Then, work together toward creating and implementing a solution. At the end of the Challenge, one team will be chosen by a panel of local business and leadership experts to win $500 in cash and recognition in a Chamber publication. Email your idea and the names of your team members to by Friday, March 4 to get started.

As part of the process, we are asking that you post at least three photos and updates on your progress throughout March and April using #impactlancaster to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. We’ll be giving away three additional $100 cash prizes to teams that post updates along the way.

At the end of the journey, we want you to tell us your story. What challenge did you take the lead on? How is your team working together to address it? What progress have you made so far? Submit the details by Friday, April 29. We’ll announce the winning team in May.

You can find all the information about the Challenge at our website. The Challenge is sponsored by E4 Strategic Consultancy.

So, I hope you’ll take this opportunity to join with us as we work together to build Lancaster County into the model of prosperity and to launch the unlimited possibilities of the new Chamber. We look forward to seeing how your ideas and solutions will transform our local community for the better.

Until next time, stay informed, stay engaged and stay with us….At the Center.
