Lancaster Chamber Launches Think Local Mobile App
May 2013

Hello.  And welcome to At the Center.

Eighteen months ago, The Lancaster Chamber launched our Think Local initiative, a program specifically designed to encourage people and businesses to think local first when making their purchases.

Since the launch, more than 500 businesses have taken the pledge.  A pledge that really commits to nothing more than taking 60-seconds to think local first before you make that next purchase.

It’s a simple pledge with significant impact.

By joining the Think Local movement you are taking an important step in doing what you can to ensure our local economy stays strong.  You are bolstering our local workforce.  You are helping shore up our local tax base.  You are contributing to our overall quality of life.  And, you are taking an important step toward first-class, local customer service.
What’s not to like when everyone benefits?

In addition, thanks to our growing list of benefits to the program, by being part of our Think Local efforts you are availing your company to special media buys, enhanced recognition on The Chamber website and a platform to promote how your company is contributing to the local economy.
Yet still there is more.

Earlier this month, we unveiled the Think Local app–an app that lists all our Chamber-member Think Local participants with instant connections to their websites, business bio’s, contact information and special offers.  It even allows for check-ins at local businesses, shout-outs for great service and advertising opportunities to drive traffic to your business.

In short, the app is just one more tool to help consumers and businesses alike move the Think Local process into action.  And, it is just one more tool we are happy to add for free to bring continued value to the program and your chamber membership.

Check it out at your app store and download it today.  Your business and our community will be the stronger for it.

Until next time, stay informed, stay engaged and stay with us…. At the Center.
